Great news fellow Dan fans, we have another new film to look forward to!  Dan is going to be joining film legend Harrison Ford in ‘Call of the Wild’.  This follows recent casting news in as many months for ‘Her Smell’ and ‘Pale Blue’ – so lots of Dan to look forward to!

Dan Stevens is teaming up with Harrison Ford in 20th Century Fox’s “Call of the Wild.”

It’s unclear what role he will play in the adventure film, but it is said to be a significant one. Ford is playing John Thornton, a prospector searching for gold in the unforgiving Yukon. The film is a big-budget adaptation of Jack London’s classic novel of the same name.

Stevens is currently starring in FX’s “Legion,” a trippy comic book adaptation that finds him grappling with mutant powers. He is also shooting an untitled Fox Searchlight film about an astronaut love triangle. It will star Natalie Portman and will be directed by “Legion” creator Noah Hawley. Stevens can also be seen in “Apostle,” a period action thriller directed by Gareth Evans (“The Raid”). It will debut on Netflix in the fall.

Chris Sanders (“The Croods”) is directing “Call of the Wild” from a script by Michael Green (“Logan”). Erwin Stoff is producing with Diana Pokorny serving as executive producer and Ryan Stafford working as co-producer. Steve Asbell will oversee the production for Fox.

The film will be shot in California, both on location and on sound stages where it will use cutting edge digital technology that will help the filmmakers create the dog-sled racing sequences. Technoprops, a special effects studio that was purchased by Fox in 2017 and rechristened Fox VFX Lab, will work on bringing the dogs life. Its founder, Glenn Derry, is no stranger to creature creation having previously worked on “Avatar” and “Jungle Book.”

Stevens shot to fame as part of the cast of “Downton Abbey.” He also appeared opposite Emma Watson in Disney’s smash hit “Beauty and the Beast.”

Stevens is represented by WME and Julian Belfrage Associates. – Variety.

Dan is set to team up with Legion creator Noah Hawley, only this time it’s for the big screen! The film also starts Natalie Portman and Jon Hamm (who, fun fact does the narration for season 2 episodes of Legion!) You can read the press release for the film below.  Make sure to follow our sites twitter, @danstevensnet for all the latest news and info on Dan. And don’t forget to bookmark the site too!

Dan Stevens will play Natalie Portman’s on-screen spouse in Fox Searchlight’s astronaut drama “Pale Blue Dot.”

Portman will portray a married astronaut who returns to Earth after a mission and begins an affair with a fellow astronaut, played by Jon Hamm. The film explores the theory that astronauts who spend long periods of time in space lose their sense of reality when they come back home.  Zazie Beetz is set to portray an astronaut trainee who also becomes involved with Hamm’s character.

The film reteams Stevens with his “Legion” creator Noah Hawley, who’s directing from a script by Brian C. Brown and Elliott DiGuiseppi. Reese Witherspoon, who was initially attached to star, will produce with Bruna Papandrea.

The movie is inspired by a true-life astronaut love triangle in which mission specialist Lisa Nowak was arrested and subsequently charged with the attempted kidnapping of U.S. Air Force Captain Colleen Shipman, who was romantically involved with astronaut William Oefelein. Nowak agreed to a plea deal in 2009 and was discharged from the U.S. Navy in 2010. – Source – Variety.com

Dan is set to make his way back to the big screen once more and this time he will be joining Cara Delevingne, Eric Stoltz, Virginia Madsen, Dylan Gelula and Elisabeth Moss in ‘Her Smell’.  Dan is set to play the role of Elisabeth Moss’ estranged husband.  The news was announced at Cannes Film Festival earlier this week and you can read the press release from Deadline below.

Voltage Pictures has announced a huge ensemble joining Elisabeth Moss in the punk rock pic Her Smell including Cara Delevingne, Dan Stevens, Eric Stoltz, Virginia Madsen, Dylan Gelula and Eka Darville. They also join Amber Heard, Ashley Benson, Agyness Deyn and Gayle Rankin who were previously announced.

Moss stars as Becky Something, a maniacally destructive punk rock star and leader of the seminal all-female rock band Something She, who pushes her relationships with bandmates, family and followers to the limit as she wages a years long war against sobriety, while attempting to re-engage the creativity that had once led her band to massive crossover success. When a new, younger female band called The Akergirls, led by Delevingne’s Cassie, bursts onto the scene, Becky becomes their mentor. With added responsibility and watching her former friend Zelda E. Zekial (Amber Heard) rise to celebrity megastardom while her career falters, Becky falls deeper into her downward spiral, losing all ties with those she cares about most, including her young daughter and estranged husband Danny (Dan Stevens). It is only when Becky hits rock bottom that she finds her path to true redemption. She must rediscover her voice and take control of her life to be the woman she has always been meant to be, both for her daughter and for herself. Source.
