The complete Legion panel has finally been posted to Youtube, thanks to moviemaniacsDE for sharing it! I’ve written a brief summary of what was said in the video, which contains about half of the panel, and you can read it below. I was as vague as I could be about the possible spoilers for those who have yet to finish Season 1, so let me know if I put my foot in it and I’ll write around whatever is too revealing.

The Legion panel started at 5pm ECT at Ballroom 20, and included Jeremie Harris (Ptonomy Wallace), Amber Midthunder (Kerry Loudermilk), Bill Irwin (Cary Loudermilk), Jean Smart (Melanie Bird), Aubrey Plaza (Lenny Busker / Shadow King), Rachel Keller (Sydney Barrett), Dan Stevens (Legion), producer John Cameron, exec. producer Jeph Loeb, exec. producer Lauren Shuler-Donner and producer and showrunner Noah Hawley.

The first question by the moderator was for Hawley, about the Bolero sequence on Episode 7 and the inspiration behind it. He explained the he chose Ravel because he had a degenerative brain disease that made him obsess over certain things, which is why the song is so repetitive and, he believed, well fitted for the scene and the characters involved. The following question was for Dan, about what it was like to accept a job in a series without really knowing if the story was going to pan out, to which he replied “We all put a lot of faith in Noah, and the way such a wild show comes together is a joy to watch – the music that gets put to it, not just the Bolero, but yeah, just seeing all the weird things that we did kind of put together, to all of us, it’s mind-blowing”. Hawley then added that the “silent movie cards” were added to the Bolero sequence in the editing room, and they were not really scripted.

Exec. producer Lauren Shuler-Donner, who’s been involved with the X-Men movie franchise from its very beginning, explained that she liked Hawley’s ideas for Legion during their first conversation, and that he aimed to take the illusionary aspect of the story higher up – she said she was pleased, as the series needed to exist on its own, without crossing paths with the movie universe of the X-Men.

While promoting Legion at San Diego Comic Con 2017 with his co-stars, Dan gave many interviews about the show and its next season. Because this cast is such a ray of sunshine, these videos are very entertaining and will probably make you laugh. They talked about their bold choices, favorite dance sequences, the upcoming challenges and more.

We’ll add more videos to this post as the channels upload them.

San Diego Comic Con has finally arrived! Its very 1st day was super busy for Dan and his Legion co-stars, as they promoted the show all over the place. Their panel started at 5pm, but they arrived fairly early in the morning and went around giving interviews and posing for portraits. In this post, we’ll focus on the images from the event – partly because it seems more organized, and partly because I’m tired and starting to go cross-eyed with all the new information that’s being released.

I’ve been adding pictures to our gallery as they come out, and you’ll find all the updated albums below. Thanks to my friend Sara, from rosemciver.net, for sending many of them our way!

Noah Hawley, creator of Legion, teased what’s coming next for Dan’s character, David Haller, in Season 2 of the FX series in an interview for Entertainment Weekly. Although it has no premiere date as of yet, he told The Hollywood Reporter he’s expecting it to air around the same time of the year as Season 1, which was on February 8, 2017. You can read his quotes below, but beware of possible spoilers!

Noah Hawley revealed that the he’s sort of flipping the show’s premise for its upcoming sophomore run. “I was interested in that first year of exploring the idea of an insane man in a sane world,” said Hawley. “Now, maybe it’s flipping for me. I like the idea that David may be the sane one in an insane world.”

Just moments after finally being free from the Shadow King for the first time in his life, David found himself trapped in a mysterious mechanical orb in the post-credits scene of “Legion” Season 1 finale. During a press event ahead of the season-ender, Hawley didn’t reveal where that drone-like device is taking David, but he did share some insights into why they decided to end the show’s freshman run with that unsettling scene.

“We want to keep the pressure on. Out of the frying pan and into the fire is a pretty good approach to storytelling on some level,” Comic Book Resources quoted Hawley. “If you keep the pressure on someone whose psychology has always been unstable, it’s going to keep [him] from being able to really [heal].”

In a separate interview for Deadline, Hawley said that what happened in the post-credits scene indicates that Season 2 will tell a brand new story.

“It means that Season 2 is beginning. It means that we’ve completed this story and we’re starting a new one,” said Hawley. “You know, my goal is always that the first season would be about fighting the enemy within and, you know, learning about this entity that was inside of David and about getting it out of David, and Season 2 will be about then the enemy without and this entity now we know is a person.”
